This year’s ADAC Rallye Deutschland (22 – 25 August) will feature a number of spectator-friendly upgrades, including an action-packed Saturday afternoon focused entirely on the daunting Baumholder military ranges.

Instead of the traditional morning and afternoon visits to the tank training roads, four intimidating speed tests will be condensed into a spectacular single stay - two runs of a 10km Arena Panzerplatte and two passes of the marathon Panzerplatte stage.

The military tests will be preceded by a double morning run over the Freisen and Römerstraße stages near St Wendel and a mid-leg service.

Saturday’s modified route has been designed to enable fans to follow more of the action from two different locations.

Other major changes include a new super special to kick-off the event on Thursday night and a new Wolf Power Stage to close the rally on Sunday.

Thursday’s driver presentation and start ceremony will take place in the service park on the shores of Bostalsee lake, before crews tackle a short opening St Wendeler Land super special.
Friday’s itinerary includes six stages in the vineyards of the Mosel region. In a repeat of last year’s programme, established tests Stein und Wein, Mittelmosel and Wadern-Weiskirchen will each be run twice.

The action moves back to the Mosel on Sunday for a loop of two stages driven twice.
The 30km Grafschaft will be followed by the return of the Dhrontal speed test, last run in 2016. The second run of Dhrontal will provide the thrilling bonus point finale as the Wolf Power Stage.
The championship’s 10th round will consist of 19 stages covering more than 340km in the Saarland and neighbouring Mosel and Hunsrück regions.
